St Thomas a Becket

"Let all that you do be done in love."
- 1 Corinthians, 16:14

Welcome to
St Thomas a Becket RC Primary School

As a Roman Catholic School, we value the uniqueness that God's love has created in each of us. Our core Gospel Values of service, love, faith and courage are at the centre of every part of our school life. Our school curriculum echoes these values as, each day, we try to follow God’s lead, with courage to be the best that we can be. As a school community, together with parents, carers, families and the church, we encourage each individual to develop their God given talents and skills to discover their unique potential.

Vision

& Values

Democracy
Democracy is an important value at our school. Pupils have the opportunity to have their voices heard through the School Council.

Rule of law
The importance of laws and rules, whether they are those that govern the class, the school or the country, are consistently reinforced throughout regular school days.

Individual liberty
As a school we actively encourage pupils to make their own choices, knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment.

Mutual Respect
Our school ethos and behaviour policy centres on core Christian values such as ‘respect’ and ‘responsibility’.

Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
This is achieved through enhancing pupil’s understanding of their place in a culturally diverse society.
