Eco-School
In September 2019 the School Council voted to elect an Eco-Schools committee. There was a great deal of interest and in October 2019 the committee were elected. Their first official meeting was held on the 19th October 2019. This coincided with a visit from Wayne Dixon and Koda, please see the link for further information www.keepbritaintidy.org
The committee worked hard organising an Environmental Review of the whole School and then creating an Action Plan.
Our main areas of action are
- Litter
- Waste
- Energy
- Transport
However we will continue with the good work we are already doing in areas such as reducing, recycling and reusing.
To tackle waste we have created a recycling station for pens and batteries. These are available on KS1,EYFS and KS2 sites.
More initiatives to follow soon. Please check back regularly.
We are also very pleased to announce that we have been awarded:
The Eco-Schools Bronze award
We have also gained the Bronze award from The Woodlands Trust, Green Tree Schools
